UK Olympians facing unexpected problem

At the risk of coming off as sarcastic, I doubt a large swath of the British population is going to fret over this, or use it as motivation to go out and buy.

The Times has the story.

Although Team GB’s record-breaking overseas medal haul earned it second place in both medal tables at the 2016 Rio Games, the prospect of a bailout will be controversial, as other lottery-funded good causes struggle with cuts.

Charities, the arts, heritage projects and grassroots sports will not be cushioned from the impact of a fall of almost £300m in the sums raised by Camelot for good causes in the latest financial year.
