America has a president who is not right in the head. Or America has a president who is rational and lacks any sense of morality.

Which is worse?

He sees groping women as acceptable behavior.

He uses whatever language comes to mind to describe people he doesn’t like.

And he has a vicious hatred for any news organization that dares to defy him.

The top story on today’s Morning Media News Feed, produced by AdWeek:

Sunday morning, President Trump tweeted a doctored video from one of his real appearances during a pay-per-view WWE match. In the video, from 2007, Trump body-slams WWE chief Vince McMahon. In the doctored video, McMahon’s face is replaced with a CNN logo. (TVNewser)

The clip ends with an onscreen restyling of the CNN logo as “FNN: Fraud News Network.” In a speech on Saturday at a faith rally in Washington, Trump was met with cheers when he referred to CNN as “garbage journalism” and said: “The fake media tried to stop us from going to the White House. But I’m president, and they’re not.” (NYT)

The network responded, “It is a sad day when the President of the United States encourages violence against reporters. Clearly, Sarah Huckabee Sanders lied when she said the president had never done so. Instead of preparing for his overseas trip, his first meeting with Vladimir Putin, ‎dealing with North Korea and working on his healthcare bill, he is involved in juvenile behavior far below the dignity of his office. We will keep doing our jobs. He should start doing his.” (Recode)

Three senior Trump administration officials contacted on Sunday said the tweet was both justified and amusing. When asked if they were concerned that these kinds of messages Trump sends could encourage actual physical violence against journalists, all officials ignored the follow-up questions. (Daily Beast)

President Trump asserted Saturday that his social media use is “modern day presidential,” less than an hour after accusing the media of trying to convince lawmakers that he should stop using Twitter. “My use of social media is not Presidential – it’s MODERN DAY PRESIDENTIAL. Make America Great Again,” he tweeted after multiple posts attacking the “fake and fraudulent news media.” (Politico)
