In the wake of Monday night’s suicide bombing at a concert, U.K. and Manchester city officials are telling Brits to be resolute.

The Guardian notes that U.K. prime minister

Theresa May told the nation tonight, the threat level has been raised to critical. That allows military personnel to be deployed on the streets of Britain to free up armed police resources to hunt down suspects.

One man is believed responsible for the bombing, but the hunt for potential accomplices continues. So, too, does the effort to understand how ISIS — which has claimed responsibility for Monday’s bombing — picks the public places it opts to attack.

Meanwhile the Manchester Evening News reports,

Chief Constable Ian Hopkins said it was believed that the attacker – who died at the scene – was carrying an improvised explosive device.
