Columbia University’s journalism school recently hosted a symposium on how the First Amendment needs to be adjusted in a digital age. As the Columbia Journalism Review notes, the legal framework under which the media operate directly affects everyone.

The internet is deeply affecting the shape of public discourse. In turn, how can the values of freedom of expression, freedom of the press, and freedom of assembly shape and govern the digital space?
