An excerpt from today’s Morning Media Newsfeed by AdWeek:

Tomi Lahren, the young, incendiary conservative commentator, is suing her former boss, Glenn Beck, and his media firm, The Blaze, for wrongful termination over her pro-choice comments. (Dallas Morning News)

Lahren filed suit against Beck and The Blaze, claiming she was subjected to “a public smear campaign” meant to “inflate Beck’s profile, from what has become a mediocre following.” (TVNewser)

In a March appearance on The View, the rising conservative voice said, “I can’t sit here and be a hypocrite and say I’m for limited government but I think the government should decide what women do with their bodies.” Lahren’s suspension and subsequent termination quickly followed. (THR / THR, Esq.)

She claims that after her appearance on The View, she was informed that she was suspended and was “in shock” for the employment sanction “for freely expressing her opinions, which certainly reconcile with what is the law of the land in the United States i.e., a woman’s constitutional right to choose” and were “in no way consistent” with her obligations under her employment agreement. (Variety)

Lahren rocketed to fame a little over a year ago after some of her show’s “Final Thoughts” segments went viral online. Her program aired on The Blaze, which Beck founded. (Mediaite)
