Now that was one happy dog!

I didn’t get a chance to take a picture of one happy dog this morning, but there’s no question he knew where he was going and he couldn’t wait to get there.

As I was walking down West 4th Street in New York City, I saw a dog and his owner crossing the street. The dog had heard a couple of other dogs barking at the fenced-in dog park in Washington Square Park.

He wanted to join them.

Fast.

As he moved across the street, his pace quickened, and it was clear he was urging his owner to pick up her pace.

As the got on the sidewalk, he moved even faster, so much so that he and his owner were now effectively jogging.

Finally, they got to where he wanted to be.

The gate opened, and he was on his way!

I now have a new favorite spot in New York City. And I wonder if a guy without a dog could crash the party!
