Reuters reported late Saturday (U.S. EST) that British prime minister Theresa May will urge her nation come together and ready for a departure from the EU.
Now we need to put an end to the division and the language associated with it—’Leaver’ and ‘Remainer’ and all the accompanying insults—and unite to make a success of Brexit and build a truly Global Britain,” May is expected to say.
That might be a tall order.
Many news reports over the past six months have suggested the vote to leave the EU will cripple Britain.
They have political and economic experts inside and outside fretting about the EU adopting a scorned spouse strategy. If that were to happen, Britain could become more divided as the miseries of live outside the EU become apparent.
