The following excerpt comes from today’s Ad Week Morning Media News Feed:

Incoming White House chief of staff Reince Priebus seemingly suggested during an interview with Hugh Hewitt that president elect Donald Trump might do away with or radically change the White House press briefing and other traditional aspects of the press corps. (Mediaite)

“I think that it’s important that we look at all of those traditions that are great, but quite frankly, as you know, don’t really make news and they’re just sort of mundane, boring episodes,” Priebus said. (Politico / On Media)

The briefing has been traditionally an opportunity for members of the press corps to query the press secretary not just on the day’s major breaking news, but a variety of different topics. The briefing is typically covered by C-SPAN and streamed on the White House website. (Variety)
